About FGFW
ForTheGoodofFortWorth.com exists to seek the physical, social, economic, and spiritual welfare of Fort Worth, through its citizens. It's a simple ideal born out of neighbors loving neighbors and everyone doing their part. It's not intended to be a movement, but intended to be a gathering point for people who want to seek the welfare of our city together.
By equipping you to use your talents, passions, skills, and hobbies, we'll engage our city alongside other organizations and through our own, to impact seven major domains of our local society: Education, Family, Economics, Arts & Culture, Healthcare, Civics, and Faith. We impact these domains in two broad ways:
Engage: The purpose of equipping is ultimately so people will engage their city. A primary way this can take place is through volunteer efforts in various nonprofit organizations or directly with FGFW. Through building partnerships with some of the best and most successful nonprofits throughout the city, FGFW will act as a volunteer mobilization organization that can maximize volunteer efforts to see the most efficient outcomes and make the most lasting impact.
Equip: So many people in Fort Worth have the desire to make Fort Worth a better place but simply don't know how or they want to engage their neighbors in conversations but don't feel as though they could. FGFW will work to equip these people with the tools necessary to engage their city in unique ways. Whether it is teaching how to engage local government or training on different local issues, we will work to empower people to serve their city in the best possible way.
So what can you bring to the table? What do you love to do? What skills can you offer? What domains of society are you naturally in? FGFW is simply you, joining your neighbors in making Fort Worth the best place on the planet to live, work and play. Find people who share your passion, talent, skill, hobby, and volunteerism and begin to make a difference on your block, in your apartment complex, at your school, or at your office.
